ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd. (NYSE: ZIM) has announced a significant expansion to its ZMP service, which links Asia with the East Mediterranean, by adding a new call at Cai Mep Port in Vietnam. The service, announced on January 4th, will follow this updated route:

Pusan (South Korea) – Qingdao (China) – Ningbo (China) – Shanghai (China) – Da Chan Bay (China) – Cai Mep (Vietnam) – Colombo (Sri Lanka) – Haifa (Israel) – Ashdod (Israel) – Mersin (Türkiye) – Derince (Türkiye) – Istanbul (Türkiye) – Da Chan Bay (China) – Xiamen (China) – Pusan (South Korea)

This new addition to the ZMP route uniquely positions ZIM as the sole major shipping line offering a direct connection from Vietnam, a rapidly growing economy in Southeast Asia, to the East Mediterranean region. This development is set to provide ZIM's customers with competitive transit times and a consistently dependable service.

In line with its previous announcements, ZIM remains committed to ensuring the safety of its crews, vessels, and cargo due to the ongoing risks affecting global trade in the Arabian and Red Sea regions. The company has adopted proactive safety measures, which might involve navigating through the most secure and safest routes possible. These measures, prioritizing safety, could result in longer transit times for shipments.
