Ocean Alliance’s AEU7 Service Adds Gdansk Port, Expanding Europe–Asia Connectivity

According to information from Sea-Intelligence/DynaLiners, Ocean Alliance members - comprising CMA CGM, COSCO Shipping Lines, OOCL, and Evergreen Marine - are continuing to fine-tune their service network on the Europe – Far East trade lane. As part of this optimization, the AEU7 service will officially add a port call at Gdansk, Poland, starting this coming August.

Expanding Presence in the Baltic Region

The AEU7 service is currently jointly operated by COSCO Shipping Lines and OOCL. The inclusion of the Port of Gdansk allows the service loop to extend its reach into the Baltic region, while significantly boosting direct connectivity between Northern Europe and key Asian markets.

This strategic move is also expected to provide expanded shipping options for import and export shippers in Poland and its neighboring countries.

Detailed Port Rotation

Following the adjustment, the AEU7 service will connect critical gateway ports across Europe and Asia, notably featuring Vietnam's Cai Mep port cluster.

The revised port rotation is scheduled as follows: Rotterdam – Hamburg – Gdansk – Zeebrugge – Felixstowe – Port Klang – Shanghai – Xiamen – Hong Kong – Yantian – Cai Mep – Singapore – Rotterdam.

Strengthening Baltic-Asia Connections

Integrating Gdansk into the operational network is highly assessed as a move that will consolidate Ocean Alliance's footprint in the Baltic, a market currently witnessing stable growth in container transport demand.

For shippers, this adjustment broadens direct routing options between Poland and Asia, while simultaneously enhancing supply chain flexibility along the Europe – Far East trade corridor.
