MSC has announced that the slot swap agreement between SM LINE and 2M alliance partners on services from Asia to the US West Coast will end on 8 May 2022.

As a result, MSC said in its statement that it would discontinue its carriage arrangement with SM Line, which MSC commercialized as the Rose service.

"Current services covered by MSC, and those of the 2M network, will offer alternative coverage," MSC noted in a statement. The 2M Alliance, which includes MSC and Maersk, continues to provide service to Vancouver through Eagle/TP9, Maple/TP1 and Chinook services.

In addition, MSC will also provide service to the port of Seattle through the Chinook service. Meanwhile, service to the port of Portland will be carried out on a separate Mustang service, according to the MSC announcement.
