The new service, RHS03, targets companies relocating production to Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries. It will commence on 18 August from Ho Chi Minh City with a 900 teu vessel.

Service RHS03 - Regional Container Lines (RCL)

 

An RCL spokesperson commented, “With companies relocating their supply chains to South East Asia and Vietnam in particular, both our COC and SOC customers alike have requested us to improve our sailing frequency and connectivity between Ho Chi Minh to Singapore and Port Klang.

“This new service will complement the RHS1 for Ho Chi Minh/Singapore/Ho Chi Minh by providing our customers with both a mid and end week window ex Ho Chi Minh for their connections in Singapore and Port Klang to the rest of the network for both SOC and COC customers”.

Founded in 1979, RCL is a Thai based container shipping line. Listed on the Thai Stock Exchange since 1988, its core business is in the carriage of Shipper owned containers (SOC) and its own Carrier container containers (COC) in a service network that is fully Asia centric. RCL currently owns and operates a fleet of 43 vessels with sizes ranging between 200 TEUs and 6621 TEUs. It also has a fleet of 107,574 TEUs to support its own COC carriage as well. RCL operates a network of 69 offices made up of both owned and agency partner offices to support its operations. Today, RCL is recognised as amongst the leading SOC and Intra Asian operator by both peers and customers alike.
